I did get it for 20,000 rupees on a cash back offer and have to say this is one of my best purchases ever. This little thing is a full PC with full Windows 8.1. Pros: 1. Runs Full Windows 8.1 , you can install any software you want. 2. Build Quality is amazing ,the screen is gorgeous and the back material is grippy and well made. 3. Battery life is very good, I am constantly able to reach 8 hours with heavy use playing games asphalt 8, hill climb racing , Uno and watching movies . It served me more than well during my three train journeys. With normal to low use it can easily get through 15 to 18 hours. 4. No lag at all, The Windows Store apps all run amazigly well and the older software like Opera, Notepad++, VLC, Gom Player all just open super fast. I am surprised by how well the bay trail processor is able to handle tasks. 5. The price at which I got was a bargain for such a powerful device. I made the perfect choice over iPad mini which was much costlier and can't do many of the stuff this tablet can. 6. Ohh and before I forget, you get 2 years warranty on the device and I got Office 2013 home and student edition (contains excel, word, powerpoint) worth 5000 INR for free Cons - 1. The device gets warm in one corner when I play games continuously for more than an hour. It doesn't get super hot but it does get warm. 2. Only one MicroUSB port and no Micro HDMI port. I would have like to connect this to my TV or Monitor. There is a solution via Miracast and the device also supports UTB OTG through it's micro USB port but I wanted the HDMI support. 3. Windows Store apps are coming thick and fast but at this point of time it is behind iOS. This is bound to get better but right now it is not a match for iOS apps. Note: YOu can run the millions of Windows software which should mitigate this issue. Overall - I say if you want a tablet than can outperform it's price tag and server you very well I'd say go for it.

i have bought dell venue 8 pro from local seller. 2gb RAM model. superb responsive touch and works buttery smooth. having full copy of windowd 8.1 i can use all desktop programmes including apple iTune also. its not like other windows RT and general edition. its a full fledged handheld pc. go for it. cons- heats sometimes, no 3g on sim card. but you can use 3g dongle like pc.

I am so so confused before purchasing this tab between android or windows. and using more than 2 months. Pro: 1. Very bright screen and gorgeous for view movie and picture. (mostly I prefer and use) 2. Battery Backup time long. I can not measure. 3. Very balance in operation and speed. for my work no lag occurred. 4.All most all windows software install and specially I install LAN and use my office transmission system monitoring. 5.Grippe back-cover and avoid me to carry my bulky laptop for daily use. So I say, dell windows tab(precisely) more better than others windows tab and also android too. I also got inbuilt windows 8.1 with office 2013 for life time. I also win offer dell original folio case. senheiser headphone and sandisk 16GB OTG pendrive. con: 1. Only one micro usb (OTG supported) 2. Accessories not available in market. 3. Price continuously fall down.

Perfect budgeted tablet. Though the tablet comes preloaded with windows 8.1 but you can upgrade it to windows 10 free of cost. Friends plz updated the bios and drivers after upgrading to windows 10 to resolve some issues. If you are looking for a compact ultra portable windows device, then go and grab it. Battery is enough for a day use. Display and sound is superb and I would like to rate it 8 out of 10. Friends do remember to carry the dell supplied charger as the device doesn't charge with other chargers.

It is very amazing experience to use this tab. The samsung hardware is really good. Intel graphics are very supportive for playing games like ashphalt, brother in arms 3.. .. But there is no avalibality of stylish accessories ...overall I am satisfied with the tab......

I ordered this product on 9th July '15 and got it delivered on 14th July '15, a day earlier than as promised. The packaging was brilliant, thumbs up to FlipKart for their delivery standards. Lets talk about the Dell Venue 8 Pro: I'm not going to talk much about the technical specifications as the mentioned spec is accurate. Build & Display: Really sturdy. A little on the heavy side but that's okay because the battery is pretty huge. The screen is nice and glossy with no delay in response. The brightness can be adjusted so this really helps when you're watching movies and/or reading. Operating System: I've always been a fan of Windows. So as an avid Windows Phone/Tab user, some of you might find my review a little biased. Honestly, if you're buying a tablet, Windows is the way to go. You can use this tab in two ways: 1 with phone UI and 1 with a PC UI. This makes it very convenient to transfer stuff onto and off your tab's internal hard disk. Also makes it easy to treat it as a mini laptop while traveling (if you don't want to carry a really heavy piece of 13"-15" laptops). There's a lot more that I have to figure out! Camera & Multimedia playback: The clarity on the rear camera is outstanding, and the front-facing camera also gets a 4/5. Viewer experience while watching movies/playing games is out of the world. I watched a 1080p Blu-ray rip with ease! Not even the slightest lag. Battery: A fully charged battery lasts me a good 2-3 days with above average use of listening to music, playing games, watching videos & browsing. Overall, this product really deserves a 5/5 (unbiased rating). There will be a lot more to do with this tablet once Windows 10 rolls out on these devices. I'll update the review after a month or two of additional usage.

I was bit dicey with this one but I must say it is a wonderful tablet at this range. I got this on discount and when you buy a windows tablet you can be a pretty much satisfied customer. I do most of my urgent office work and this is a life saver for me when I plan to bunk office. :P The image clarity is really good. Superior performance when you are playing games. The only thing is you have to be careful when you work or play in metros or local trains because if you drop it then extra penny will be added to your monthly budget. :) Totally worth it!

I always like Dell..... In addition to the features already has.....if 'voice call' can be included in most dell tablet, it would be of greater advantage (especially in windows tablets).

Why Microsoft tend to make these devices ? I found almost same in it as i have in my desktop, slow response, Application Re-activation architecture very confusing.
Superb tablet that outperforms it's price tag!
